Biography
She explores the applicability of materials and consciously defies the norms of product manufacturing in order to find new solutions. Already in her study works, around 1978/79, be it jewelry made from garden hoses or the well-known wire suitcase, she seamlessly connected to the democratizing design movement in the Netherlands. Whether plastic, rubber, porcelain, wood, aluminum, steel, leather, textile or glass - Hees constantly pursues her own ideas in the fields of jewelry, objects and bags.
