Earthenware vase in Kinkozan style
The oval body flares upwards with a short, trumpet-shaped neck. Decorated in enamels and gold, on a midnight blue ground with finely drawn leaf tendrils in gold each with a large cartouche set off in relief by a bamboo band depicting samurai and women on a seaside viewing terrace. Fine, hard, beige-colored ceramic body with a transparent glaze. Stamped under the glaze on the base: Kinkôzan zô. H. 32 cm.
