Two Shiva Lingam stones

Ovoid, polished gray-brown stones with reddish-brown inclusions. Each approximately 11 cm long.

The Shiva Lingam is considered the purest embodiment of Shiva and is the most important symbol of the union of this Hindu deity. The ovoid shapes are created in the bed of the sacred Narmada River in western India by the constant grinding of the water masses. The Shiva Lingam is also considered a fertility symbol. The shape of the stone symbolizes male energy, and the reddish-brown part symbolizes female energy.
