Offset print on paper. 248 x 358 cm. In Christian Boltanski's project 'Les Regards,' 100 large-format posters and 250 advertising columns featuring pairs of black and white eyes from old photos and films were exhibited in Bremen. The eyes seemed to be looking directly at passersby, creating a shift in perspective across time. The posters appeared every ten days at different locations and were also distributed as leaflets and double-sided posters that any citizen in Bremen could display. This blurred the boundaries between public and private space.
