Woodcut. 65 x 54 cm on lightweight cardboard. Portfolio containing six works and a text sheet (double sheet), with notes by the artist, a table of contents, and imprint. The woodcuts are each signed in lead "W. Mattheuer," dated and numbered "25/49," and typographically inscribed with the sheet number. Numbered "57" in the imprint. Published in a total edition of 80 copies, 60 of which were published in Leipzig and 20 by the Büchergilde Gutenberg in Frankfurt am Main. Edited by Lothar Lang and Hans Marquardt, Philipp Reclam Jr., Leipzig, 1981. In the original linen case with the title woodcut mounted on the portfolio cover. Includes the works: a) "Eingeschneite Aktion" b) "Zwiespalt" c) "Richards Traum" d) "Was nun tun?" e) "Leipziger Venus" f) "Gewitter vor Schöneck".
