Spherical concave mirror wall
Adolf Luther's first large-format concave mirror wall. Designed for the Movement Center in Bad Oeynhausen, 1970. Unique piece, concave mirror IF, plane mirror, Plexiglas, wood. Mirror wall consisting of 18 elements: 14 elements of 3 x 3 mirrors (each 115 x 115 x 7.3 cm), 4 elements of 2 x 3 mirrors (each 115 x 78 x 7.3 cm). 230 x 960 x 7.3 cm.
Adolf Luther concave mirror object as wall covering commissioned by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for the Movement Center in Bad Oeynhausen, which was built between 1967 and 1970 according to plans by Dipl.-Ing. Hilmar Wiethüchter in collaboration with the State Construction Management in Bad Oeynhausen. The concave mirrors were mounted on the rear wall of the entrance hall. With the conversion of the building into the Bali Thermal Baths in the 1990s, the work became part of a private collection.
