Magnus Pontus Heinrich Graf Stenbock (1804 - 1836)

Oil on canvas. Signed lower left. 75 x 93.5 cm. Ornate frame. From 1834 to 1836, Stenbock studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy. There, he developed into a creator of robber, mercenary, and vagabond scenes, which he executed with fine painting. Stenbock found illustrious customers for his art, including Friedrich Wilhelm IV, who, as Prussian Crown Prince, acquired one of his paintings.
